Zoe Toscano (b. 1994) is an artist based in Modesto, CA. She received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from CSU Stanislaus in 2017. From 2017 to 2020, she was a part-owner of Tri-Chromatic Gallery in downtown Modesto, CA. She curated monthly shows for artists, live music, art education, and various other events. Her own artwork has been focused on the figure, specifically centralized around the female form. Zoe sees women as the most complex creatures on the planet and she strives to capture their nuances while creating a sense of contemplation in the subtle natures of her work.
The artist was in need of a website that professionally displayed and archived her artwork, as well as her curriculum vitae and other forms of information. The design of Zoe Toscano’s website accomplishes these goals by utilizing simplicity and personality through color and typography. “Work” pages are categorized by medium and each employs a gridded framework, organizing artworks chronologically atop a pinkish hue that represents the artist’s touch. The “Info” page cleanly displays a brief statement from the artist alongside a selective version of their curriculum vitae and links to potential areas of interest. These are highlighted by a selection of typography that properly represents both Zoe’s edge and friendly demeanor.
